UPDATE 8/23/2024: Thanks to an increase in appraised values for most Bellaire properties there will not be an increase in the tax rate.
The Bellaire City Council will conduct a public hearing on a tax increase for tax year 2024 on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber, First Floor of City Hall, 7008 South Rice Avenue, Bellaire, Texas 77401-4411. If the increase exceeds the voter-approved tax rate the tax increase will be on the November ballot.
The “Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Increase” is available for review on the City’s website.

Construction on the new Bellaire High school is complete. The original building was demolished during the week of July 13-17, 2021.
