We Are Evergreen is dedicated to redeveloping the Evergreen Pool and Park Complex. They recently completed a survey asking for your input in shaping the future of the Evergreen Park complex.

Notes: Park and Pool –
- 661 responses; 56% would like a fancier pool, but only 22% are willing to donate for any change.
- Rated highest were natural shade, parking, playground equipment, structural shade, and seating.
- Rated lowest were sports equipment, trampoline equipment, social seating,and quiet cozy spaces.
While there is support for both the park and pool projects, residents set the pool renovations as their highest priority.
Some 2016 history from BCC.com: Members of the Patrons for the Parks are seeking over $5 million to renovate Evergreen Park, but there are no funds available for this kind of project. More bonds to satisfy a few hundred residents? And what’s wrong with trees, an expanse of green lawn, and a few comfortable benches?
And from 2023: Thanks to Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher, a $600,000 grant for park improvements has been received.
Construction on the new Bellaire High school is complete. The original building was demolished during the week of July 13-17, 2021.
