Update On Bissonnet/Loop 610 – Public Hearing For 6-Story Planned Development

UPDATE 10/11/2024: On October 7, 2024, City Council granted an amendment to PD-9 and PD-10 for an Office Plaza development. Be on the lookout for a new building on that corner. Watch that meeting here.

9/17/2024: Due to public comments at the September 9th meeting, Bellaire City: Council and the applicant requested a postponement on a decision on this application until October 7, 2024. Watch that meeting here. 

Review the minutes of the 2010 P&Z Meeting here, when the replat of the 1.99 acres was approved.  A long list of documents was provided in response to a Publlic Information Request for information on that replat. Find the PD-9 & PD-10 Prudential ordinance #2099 from 1977 here. Ordinance 2099 doesn’t seem to be included in the current Code of Ordinances.

Bellaire City Council Public Hearing (Amendment to PD-9 and PD-10 for an Office Plaza Development) – September 9, 2024, 6:00 PM – Council Chamber – 6-Story Office Building and Parking Garage at the SW corner of Bissonnet and Loop-610.

On June 13, 2024, members of the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the application for a Planned Development at the corner of Bissonnet and Loop 610, on less than 2 acres.

The Loop 610 District zoning ordinance requires 4-acres or more for development, however City staff advised that the new development conforms to the ordinance. You can view video of that June 13th P&Z meeting here.
