June 13, 2024: Bellaire P&Z Will Consider Amending A Zoning Ordinance To Allow A 6-Story Building On 1.99 Acres – Corner of Bissonnet and Loop 610

Will we be saying so long to this beautiful corner?

UPDATE 6/14/2024:  On June 13, 2024, members of the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the application for a Planned Development at the corner of Bissonnet and Loop 610, on less than 2 acres. The original ordinance followed the Loop 610 District zoning which requires 4-acres or more for development, however City staff advised that the new development conforms to the ordinance. The application will now proceed to City Council for consideration and approval. You can view video of that P&Z meeting here

The developer bought 1.99 acres of PD-10 several years ago even though PD-10 zoning has always required a 4-acre minimum for a PlannedDevelopment.  It’s too late to speak at this meeting.  Email your comments to zoning@bellairetx.gov
